Both witnesses

Apocalypse 11

1The gave me a reed like a rod, saying, Arise, and measure the temple of God, the altar, and those who worship there.

2Mais the square outside the temple leave the outside, and do not measure because it was given to the Gentiles, and they will trample the holy city for forty-two months.

3I give to my two witnesses power to prophesy in sackcloth, a thousand two hundred sixty days.

4This are the two olive trees and two candlesticks standing before the Lord of the earth.

5Si someone wants to harm them, fire pours from their mouth and devours their enemies, and if someone wants to harm them, he must be killed this way.

6Ils have the power to shut heaven, so that no rain falls during the days of their prophecy: and have power changing water into blood and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they desire.

7When they have finished their testimony, the beast that ascends from the abyss will make war upon them and conquer them and kill.

8 and their dead bodies shall lie in place of the great city which is called spiritually Sodom and Egypt, where also their Lord was crucified.

9Des men from the peoples and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and a half, and they do not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves.

10and because of them people the earth will rejoice and be glad, and they send gifts to one another present, because these two prophets had tormented the inhabitants of the earth.

11Après three days and an half the Spirit of life from God entered them, and they stood on their feet and great fear fell upon them which saw them.

12 and they heard a voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up here! And they ascended to heaven in a cloud, and their enemies beheld them.

13A that time, there was a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and seven thousand people were killed in this earthquake, and other were terrified and gave glory to God in heaven.

14The second woe is past. Here, the third woe comes quickly. 15The seventh angel

sounded. And there was heaven in loud voices saying, The kingdom of the world is given to our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever.

16 and twenty-four elders who sat before God on their thrones fell on their faces and worshiped God, saying

17en: We thank you, Lord God Almighty, who art and who wast , what for you have entered your great power and taken possession of your reign.

18The nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time has come for judging the dead, reward your servants the prophets, saints and those who fear thy name, small and great, and destroy those who destroy the earth.

19 and the temple of God in heaven was opened, and the ark of His covenant appeared in His temple. And there were lightnings, and voices, and thunders, an earthquake, and great hail.

Capsule physics No. 2

Diving in the heart of the matter

On 23 July, we saw that the matter consists of atoms that are parts of a huge Meccano set that can be combined in various ways sometimes to make a house, sometimes a horse and sometimes ourselves. We have also seen that the atom has a nucleus composed of protons and neutrons around which electrons spin. Therefore, we wondered if we finally reached the ultimate reality of things, the smallest particle imaginable.

Well, no, protons and neutrons are themselves composed of quarks! Here, here we come in very, very small. Could not we stop there?

Physicists are people extremely curious and nosy, you know. Like all scientists from the rest. So they have "patented" a huge machine to scrape yet deeper into the heart of the matter. They installed their new toy in a tunnel 27 kilometers in circumference housed 100 m underground and straddling the border between France and Switzerland. It is a particle collider called the LHC (Large Hadron Collider).

They have undertaken this project in proton collider that will accelerate gradually to speeds close to that of light (remember that light travels at 300 000km per second). Their purpose is to collide those small particles to pop them and possibly do so still arise particle smaller and totally unknown.

They hope the same time clear up other mysteries, particularly recreate conditions similar to those prevailing at the Big Bang and uncover the nature of dark matter (which, with dark energy, accounts for 96% of of the universe which we are totally ignorant of nature). This would not be thin strokes of brilliance.

For images of this new toy, just go online and "peg" the word LHC.

The results we get from the LHC so extraordinary as they may be, they constitute the ultimate mysteries of our universe? Nothing is as unsafe because the scientists tell us that the more one digs into the heart of our universe, the more the mystery deepens. In

taste of our next dish, remember the words of astrophysicist John James who said that our universe is more like a great idea sometimes to a great machine.

Bomb Threat at Lourdes: 30,000 evacuations

On average, 6 million visitors come to Lourdes each year.

The Assumption is one of the days when the peak is the strongest of the year to Lourdes.

Access to the site where the Virgin appeared to the young shepherdess Bernadette Soubirous in the nineteenth century, was banned and demining services were on hand in mid-day.

"Everything happens in a calm," said a Reuters spokesman sanctuary. "An anonymous call to police about noon announced the explosion of four bombs 15h," he said.

The Feast of the Assumption is one of the days when the crowd is strongest of the year to Lourdes. The two masses of the morning had ended when police started to evacuate the pilgrims. It is unclear whether other ceremonies planned for the day - Masses and processions - will take place.

Catholic pilgrimage center since 1858, Lourdes in 2009 welcomed nearly 6.3 million visitors from around the world, according to the General Secretariat of the sanctuary, about 60,000 sick and disabled.

Wording For A Giftcard Bridal Shower

Tell me

Tell me why you live, tell me why we die ...

Why this young man who, in a shiver of terror, feel the madness take over his mind?

Why this young woman who cries out in revolt against an inevitable death while that life opened wide before her?

Why should this old priest still preach things and do things that he no longer believes as he does not know anything else?

Why this mother emaciated Sudanese, in as dry as his eyes, sees her baby die of starvation in his arms? Why traveling this

lying in a bed of misery he wonders if he still will one day find a reason to live?

Why this mother cheetah she looks far into the whimpering tiger that devours its young?

Why Should the soldier to shoot other men who may like him, toddlers who are waiting at home? Why

makeshift boats they sink at sea resulting in the death of refugees in the eyes full of hope?

Why this old lion exhausted he collapsed in the bush while a pack of hungry hyenas cautiously advances?

Why this unfortunate happening there for many years in prison for a stupid mistake?

Why these children are soldiers trained to kill?

Why these men, like rabid dogs, they torturing other men or stoning women?

And loneliness, you know, the solitude! What do you do with loneliness? Without a visit to the beloved son, without a letter in the mail, without even a phone for a month. And this old woman who is dying of despair and boredom?

Why must we live lives of misery and then die?

Why will you finally tell me why?

......

Well, maybe because ...

ago this mother that clamps on her breast the child is born?

And this old lady who sees rise in her a love like she had never expected? Or

notes inflamed the symphony that flows into the head of this brilliant composer?

Or the blaze of the star that rises stunningly and unexpectedly, a cloud of gas and dust?

Or that old farmer who, in the evening, watching the new crop springing from the earth?

Or the young father who sees his little run herself into his arms, shouting for joy?

Or the rider who raises an arm in victory crossing the finish line of a hundred yards? Or

this astronomer who, despite his knowledge, still marvels at a starry night?

Or the girl distracted love dancing in the rain?

Or the anthropologist who is jubilant as a child before the bones of a dinosaur that comes from digging?

Or that huge whale that soars above the waves in an explosion of joy?

Or the man who, in the silence of dusk, feels an immense peace descend on him?

Or this child sobbing in the arms of his mother he thought had been extinct?

......

Are these, do you, answers your questions?

Or perhaps ultimately, should we simply accept his life as a great gift, even if issimulates vipers and sometimes even if it is just a brief flicker that will soon end, taking with it its unfathomable mysteries?
